Part of our exclusive Sri Collection of mindful adornment.  This beautiful mala is made up of fresh water pearls varying from a soft hue of grey, rose, purple to white.  All accented with 22k gold plated silver acent beads.  The centerpiece of this mala is the large white south sea pearl serving as the pendant.  South Sea pearls have a unique luster quality that is quite noteable.  India's sacred books and epic tales abound with pearl references. One legend has the Hindu god Krishna discovering pearls when he plucks the first one from the sea and presents it to his daughter Pandaïa on her wedding day.  At least until the beginning of the 20th century it was a Hindu custom to present a completely new, undrilled pearl and pierce it during a ceremony.  Pearls symbolize purity and stimulate the mind in clarity and wisdom.  They help enchance personal integrity and focus ones attention.  They accent the feminine, the dignified, wise mother in all of us.

These unique handcrafted jewelry pieces are lovingly hand made in Bali by Aum Rudraksha Designs.   Each bead has been picked, blessed, and chosen for its "energy" level.  The smaller the rudraksha, the more rare and the more potent its energy is. It is traditionally believed that they can destroy negative thought and grant the wearer peace of mind, clarity, and purpose.  Rudraksha are considered sacred and need to be treated with respect and care. Wash them occasionally to remove dirt and dust. Oil them with coconut or sandalwood oil to preserve them. They will naturally turn darker with your own body oil, this is the desired effect as they will grow stronger. Keep in a place of sanctity. Remove when you sleep.
